LIVE at The Rosebud: October 23, 24, 25, 26, 2025
The Rosebud is a venue for artists by artists. Excellent sound on and off stage, fair compensation for artists, and a dedicated crew large enough to cover all the roles of the experience are pillars of our ethos. The artist’s experience is the foundation which the evening is built on, carrying through to the excitement of the crew and the inspiration of the audience.
A very hardworking and far-traveling band recently told us that The Rosebud is the most thoughtful venue they’ve ever played. While that’s not a great review for the rest of the music industry, it does give me hope that we can make a difference from our small room in rural Oregon. And we couldn’t do it without you!
Here’s what we have for you this week…
Thursday, October 23rd:
Local blues / Americana duet New Age Phonograph takes the stage after a year on the road! Joined by Ron the Harp Man, they’ll bring you their blues/ rock favorites, folk-infused originals, and tales from their tour. Gypsy and Heck of Hecktic Week open the show with their soul-touching country blues sound.
Friday, October 24th:
Dark Disco returns to The Rosebud with Portland’s post-punk / goth band Shadowhouse and the PNW’s darkwave duet Stariana. “Play loud, dance slow” at another all-ages night of LIVE goth, post-punk, and industrial music. Then join DJ Eric Yokai for a 21+ darkwave dance party after 10pm!
Saturday, October 25th:
Halloween week begins with Rovers & Dragons’ “Vikings & Pirates Night”. Singing will be encouraged, inventive dance moves applauded, and amazing Halloween prizes will be awarded for the best dressed Vikings & Viking Maidens and Pirates & Piratesses. Join us for a night of storming reels and jigs, pub ballads, light-hearted comedy songs, and sea shantys!
Sunday, October 26th:
It’s an indie-folk Sunday matinee with optimistic Americana folksters and founders of the Portland Folk Festival Fox and Bones and multidimensional songwriter Justin Farren. Get lost in the lyrics and jump to the beat for this early all-ages show!

Bone Stone and the raucous blues jammers, Levi Melendez and all the adventurous open-mic participants, The Mother Smuckers for trusting us with their debut album recording, and the incredible Wild Rumors for taking the trip and keeping the classics alive!
