LIVE at The Rosebud: October 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 2025
It is a big weekend for our growing town! From FIVE nights of music at The Rosebud to an all-day Downtown block party festival, we’re stage-diving into fall!
This Saturday October 4th , the streets of downtown Roseburg will come alive for the 4th Annual Blocktober Fest: a free, family-friendly celebration of community, music, food, and local culture. From 11am-6pm, regional makers and artisans travel far and wide to set up their wares next to craft beer and wine, food trucks, family activities, and two stages of music and entertainment!
This year’s Main Stage, sponsored by Experience Roseburg, features the acclaimed Oregon-born, nationally touring folk-pop trio JOSEPH, whose soaring harmonies have captivated audiences across the country! Roseburg’s favorite soul/R&B group TOB (That Other Band) and the fearlessly funky The Mother Smuckers round out the day of high-energy performances in Downtown Roseburg (with an after-party at The Rosebud with FunkShui!). Don’t miss the fourth iteration of this record-breaking festival!
Here’s what we have for you this week…
Wednesday, October 1:
Experience a triple-feature of savage folk, rockabilly, and Americana with “The Dirty Old One Man Band” Scott H. Biram, Sasquatch & the Sick-a-Billys, and Arthur Buezo! Savage folk solo artist Arthur Buezo kicks off the evening, followed by the bloody fingertips and soul-haunting voice of Sasquatch & the Sick-a-Billys. Scott H. Biram closes the show, stilling the room with haunting South Texas blues, then turning it upside down into a truck driver’s mosh pit. Don’t miss this!
Thursday, October 2:
Straight out of the Western Oregon University music community, Tuesday String Band brings us a Thursday evening all-ages hoedown. Known for their fast pickin’, witty banter, and string-band versions of songs outside the idiom, Tuesday String Band are on a mission to keep their musical traditions alive.
Friday, October 3rd:
With their comedic brotherly banter, impeccable harmonic expression, and widely varying influences, The Brothers Reed will soothe your soul with songs that are familiar yet original. Whether they are finger picking their way through a lamentable ballad or bringing you around full-speed with a barn-burning bluegrass number, The Brothers Reed are masters of their craft.
Saturday, October 4th:
Let loose after Downtown Roseburg’s Blocktober Fest with Roseburg’s funkiest quintet: FunkShui! Adriel, Corey, Scott, Matt, and Matthew bring the FUNK! DJ Derty and DJ SofaSoul will be spinning vinyl before and after the performance for a bass-heavy post-festival dance party. Come through!
Sunday, October 5th:
Join us for a Sunday matinee of gypsy-jazz and Eastern European folk music! Award-winning violinist Eva Slongo and award-winning guitarist Jimmy Grant come together in a duo that blends elegance and authenticity. Join us for a warm, engaging experience where sincerity, simplicity, and connection take center stage.
Tuesday, October 7th:
Power-pop and emo take over the Rosebud with Mike Liorti’s San Diego-based Lioneer (formerly known as Rosendale) and Roseburg’s own mathy emo rockers Tarantula Trust Fund.
We had a blast last weekend with jamgrass adventurers Broken Compass Bluegrass, cow-punk pioneers Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, and hilarious stand-up comics Nariko Ott, Chadhurst Sharpe, and Andy Hill. Thanks to our team, our patrons, and to YOU, for logging off, tuning in, and dropping by The Rosebud Theatre.
