LIVE at The Rosebud: January 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 2026

A scene is a tapestry woven through time in space. Threads made of lineage and habits, techniques and influence, woven together in the sonic performance of a geographical location. All the songs, the players, the stories, the shared vocabulary, and the rejection of norms, sheered, dyed, and spun in the Great Umpqua, then knitted together on stage time and again. This is an exciting time to be here, with incredible touring bands performing every weekend, and prolific local artists producing catalogues of new music. But looking back to my time growing up in Roseburg, playing in the RHS jazz band, sneaking into the Jersey Lily blues jams, and thrashing in a screamo-takeover of the VFW Hall, the Umpqua Valley has always had a rich music scene. It is an honor and a privilege to wave that tapestry of Roseburg’s music scene history like a flag for all to see.

We’ve got a STACKED mid-January week at The Rosebud!

Here’s what we have for you this week…

Wednesday, January 14th:

Seattle fusion-jazz and jam band heavyweights Andy Coe (ACB, Skerik Band, McTuff) and drummer D’Vonne Lewis (Digable Planets, McTuff, Industrial Revelation) join forces with Portland keyboard wizard Galen Clark (Outer Orbit, Trio Subtonic, Sleater-Kinney) for a blend of pocket heavy organ trio funk and mind bending groove music in this Northwest supergroup: Patterns Fly. The resulting sound fuses high energy synth bass, heavy funk, and experimental electronic tinged jazz.
