We have an eclectic five-show week coming up at The Rosebud! From country outlaws to blues connoisseurs; neo-soul jazz rockers to a champion accordion soloist; and a night of free improvisation sandwiched between it all! I find it fascinating that so many artists with such different approaches and styles can all feel at home under one roof. When I look for the common thread, beyond the stage, the lights, the notes, and the words- I realize it’s YOU: The fearless eclectic audience, unafraid to venture outside of your streaming algorithms! Whenever you’re here, we’re more than a jazz club or a honky-tonk dive: we are a beautifully diverse quilt of interests and influences woven together in the appreciation of sonic expression.

Here’s what we have for you this week…

Tuesday August 5th, the legendary Dale Watson and His Lonestars light up The Rosebud with their blend of country, swing, honky-tonk, and rockabilly! Dale Watson has spent his career keeping the country music roots sound alive, sharing the stage with the likes of Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. Come give him a warm welcome!

Thursday August 7th, acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist / blues singer Terry Robb teams up with award-winning acoustic slide blues guitarist Adam Scramstad to bring us an evening of the blues -unplugged!

Friday August 8th, Portland’s neo-soul baritone Ben Estrada brings his jazz-rock adjacent group BendreTheGiant back to The Rosebud, with Roseburg’s indie rock/ bedroom pop opener Saltwater Salamander.

Saturday August 9th, in honor of Sir Mix-A-Lot being in town, get ready for Jam-A-Lot: an all-ages, all-genre, free improvisation open jam session! Bring an instrument and your ears- the rest will be decided as it happens.

Sunday August 10th, join us for a Sunday Matinee as the award-winning Scottish accordionist Gary Blair performs on The Rosebud stage. Hailing from Glasgow, UK, Gary Blair’s charisma and playing ability have made him popular with audiences around the world!
