This week the blues and roots are in the air. T. Bone Stone and The Fabulous Del Montes host the Wednesday night blues jam to set the tone for the week. Jay William Miller brings his powerhouse band from Boise for an Indie Americana Thursday night. Friday evening brings progressive bluegrass down from Eugene with Belltower, and Ty Curtis takes Saturday night with storm of blues rock blowing in Portland. Come downtown and join the music!

Boise singer/songwriter Jay William Miller brings his band to The Rosebud!
Jay William Miller is an Americana singer-songwriter whose music blends the grit of small-town Idaho with the heart of rock and roll. Born and raised in Boise, Jay picked up a guitar at sixteen and started writing songs shaped by mountains, rivers, and the kind of nights that turn into stories. His sound lives somewhere between heartbreak and high energy—a mix that’s earned him and his band the fitting description, “sad boys that like to party.”
Drawing inspiration from artists like Nathaniel Rateliff, Noah Gundersen, and Willie Nelson, Jay’s songs balance introspection with the unfiltered spirit of the American West. His latest release, Reservoir, dives into the mess of emotion and the moments that keep us human—backed by a band that’s just as ready to rip as they are to feel.
Whether he’s on stage in a packed bar or under open Idaho skies, Jay brings a dynamic performance that’s equal parts rowdy and raw.

Belltower is an independent string band whose original music is informed by bluegrass, old-time, jazz, and singer-songwriter traditions. Based in Eugene, Oregon, the band formed in 2023 and released its second full-length album in February, 2026. Belltower’s biggest focus is on live performance. The band has played at Wintergrass bluegrass festival, the Oregon Country Fair, the Sisters Folk Festival, and many other venues around the PNW.
Wherever it goes, the band gets people smiling, dancing, and introspecting with its catchy melodies, driving rhythms, tight vocal harmonies, and evocative lyrics. Belltower’s members include Micah Primack (rhythm guitar, banjo, vocals), Elijah McFarlane (lead guitar, dobro, vocals), Noah Poteet (mandolin, vocals), Aedan Seaver (fiddle, vocals) and Gabriel Martinez (bass, vocals).

One of the Pacific Northwest’s most compelling blues-rock voices, Ty Curtis delivers music with soul, power, and passion. A veteran performer with eight albums under his belt, he’s graced stages alongside legends like Robert Cray, The Doobie Brothers, and George Thorogood. His band—featuring Brian Harris (keys), David Kahl (bass), and Richard Lawrence (drums)—brings dynamic chemistry and seasoned musicianship to every performance.
Their latest release, Ascendant Blues, marks a bold evolution in Ty’s sound—rich, raw, and resonant. Whether you're grooving to his guitar work or caught up in his emotionally-charged vocals, this is a show that transcends expectations.
With accolades including multiple top rankings on Blues Rock Review and a standout 2nd place finish at the 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Ty Curtis continues to prove he's a force in modern blues.
