In the spirit of Halloween we’ve got live music every night this week! Tuesday (Tonight!) Riot Grrrl Punk from Austin, Wednesday spooky Blues Jam, Thursday Halloween Honky-Tonk, Friday LA Electro-Funk, and a very Phish-y Jam Band Halloween Saturday make this a most supernatural week of enchanting music in our haunted little corner of downtown Roseburg. Forming in 2024, CorMae has quickly become a standout in the Austin music scene, known for their wild stage antics and enthusiastic crowd participation. Their songs are loud, relatable, and witty - aimed to bring joy and also commiserate with listeners with a playful yet still angry, infectious punk attitude.
CorMae loves bringing people together of all ages, which is where they believe the true magic is, empowering folks regardless of age, race, gender, or nationality.
With Eugene Alt-Rock power trio CallowRuse, and Southern Oregon bass / drum power duo Mammalodon.

The new Lipp record blasts through lightyears of sounds and styles, connecting new school funk with vintage synth nostalgia. Blending loops and breaks with a pile of synths and drum machines the record pushes into new territory with advanced arrangements and cinematic textures. From long summer walks through NYC and early morning sessions in Paris cafes to stacks of Czech jazz from around the corner. This album is fueled by curiosity and audio experimentation as well as a deep dive back into the influential sounds of Mo'Wax, Warp, and early Ninja Tune releases.
This adventurous collection of beats feels both unmistakably Lipp and refreshingly evolved.
Eliot Lipp:
Lipp has released music with Alpha Pup, Pretty Lights Music, his label Old Tacoma Records, and now Young Heavy Souls. Lipp's most recent record Viper Venom dropped in May of 2024. VV blends Lipp's classic old-school electro-funk vibes and high-fidelity future synth breaks.
Lipp also comprises half of the band Lipphead and renowned NYC producer Blockhead.
Whether he's in the studio, DJ booth, or behind a synth with his live band, If Lipp is making music he's at home and locked in.

11 years later, we're still upside down! Since February 2012, Shafty - Portland's Tribute to Phish has brought masterful improv to the stage using the decades-deep Phish catalog as a trampoline for creative expression. Their faithful recreation of Phish's light-hearted progressive rock has enamored fans across the country, despite staying close to home for live performances in cities of the Pacific Northwest. Shafty's audience knows to expect the band riding waves of steamy dance jams, while dropping surprising twists and turns in every set. The band has been found threading Neil Young, Spice Girls, and Lil' Jon songs (this is a small taste) among a maze of Phish originals! With a catalog of Phish's original music spanning 1983 to 2023, and sneaking in anything from the rest of the music world as fair game, Shafty leaves audiences freely guessing at the songlist and questioning their sanity, while they boogie on long after the moment ends!
