Here’s what we have for you this week…
Thursday, May 28th:
stop.drop.rewind's Prog-Punk to the PNW Tour with fairweatherfriend, Pretty Suspect / ALL AGES / 6pm Doors, 7pm Show / $15 presale, $20 door
Northwest Indiana-based progressive-powerpop band stop.drop.rewind has never shied away from innovation.
The Midwest power trio combines the energy and spirit of pop-punk with the colors and improvisational elements of jazz and soaring intricacies of progressive rock to bring forth a sound that is as unique as it is listenable, and as likely to produce a thoughtful discussion as it is a raucous sing-along.
They have brought their energetic live show to venues across the Midwest and beyond, playing in 13 US states and completing multiple tours to Texas to play SXSW, all while
sharing the stage with the likes of Real Friends, Hawthorne Heights, Secondhand Serenade, The Misfits, The Spill Canvas, and many others.
Roseburg’s fairweatherfriend and Eugene’s Pretty Suspect open the show!
Friday, May 29th:
The Gus Factor LIVE at The Rosebud // $15 // 21+ // Doors 7pm, Show 8pm // Swampcore Funk, Funk-Rock, Jam
The Gus Factor is a funk rock powerhouse that plays with edge and dynamics.
The Gus Factor plays dank grooves in danceable funk, indie, jam, and heavier musical styles, all with New Orleans swing and heartfelt soul.
The Gus Factor was formed in a haze of one dollar Rolling Rocks, bong hits, and Buddy Guy, Black Sabbath, and Allman Brothers records at the University of Connecticut in 1988 by Pete Gonda (vocal and guitar) and Mark Axel Tveskov (guitar). Bryan Caudle, who had played snare with a fife and corp with Mark years earlier, was recruited to play drums. Bassist Matt Parker, fresh from playing Washington D.C’s 930 Club as part of the legendary mid-Atlantic punk band The Maytags, had moved to Connecticut for life as a graduate student, but after answering a bulletin board add, inexplicably found himself playing bass with a bunch of hippies; the first song the band rehearsed being Dave Mason’s two-chord Feelin’ Alright. A few gigs later, Scott “Scooter” Van Dyke (keyboards) and John Morello (percussion) showed up and set up their gear, with no one remembering inviting them. Without further comment, The Gus Factor was complete.

Find yourself transported into a whimsical living-room style speakeasy we call The Rabbit Hole…
Eric Alterman is a Tropi-Cascadia troubadour whose heartfelt songwriting explores nature, love, dreams, and existence, rooted in a deep sense of the places he has called home. Grounded in guitar and cello, his distinctive sound blends folk and Americana with Brazilian influences, shaped by his years living in Rio de Janeiro.
Onstage, he is joined by a rotating ensemble (drums, bass, percussion, trumpet, and violin) that blends folk and jazz improvisation with Brazilian-inspired grooves, performing sets that range from intimate storytelling to full-band peaks. His debut album, Traveling Days and the Universe Parade, is set for release in summer 2026.
