We just got back from the National Independent Venue Association conference in Minneapolis with fresh ideas, inspiration, and a stacked lineup of Oregon-centric music to bring us home! Blues Jam Wednesday, Funky Thursday, Indie Rock Friday (with a jazz night-cap), Saturday afternoon Karaoke, and a Saturday night farewell to our favorite trombonist. Wednesday, June 17th:
T.Bone Stone’s Old School Blues Jam // FREE // All Ages // Doors 6pm, Music 7pm // Blues, Jam
Join harp-slinging bluesman T. Bone Stone of The Fabulous Del Montes as he hosts the Old School Blues Jam! Bring your axe, call a tune, and sit in with Roseburg’s finest blues musicians.
Thursday, June 18th:
The Mother Smuckers LIVE & LOCAL at The Rosebud, w/ Jenna & The Smuckers // $15 // All Ages // Doors 6pm, Show 7pm // Funk, Fusion, Rock
Roseburg’s track-suit sporting funky-fusion rock quartet The Mother Smuckers team up with soulful vocalist Jenna Gillespie for a night of reimagined retro-pop, disco, and fiery originals. Come dance into the weekend!
The Mother Smuckers have a wide range of musical tastes and influences from classic rock and metal to jazz, funk, and soul giving them a unique and compelling sound. The band is influenced by funk-pop artists like Cory Wong, Fearless Flyers, and Scary Pockets as well as fusion artists like Mark Lettieri, High Fade, and Plini.
Friday, June 19th:
Jackrat LIVE at The Rosebud, w/ The’Lectrics // $15 // All Ages // Doors 6pm, Show 7pm // Punk, Folk, Rockabilly
It’s a night of Oregonian Indie Rock trios, with the driving rhythms and electric energy of Bend’s Jackrat (think Modest Mouse in a bluegrass jam) and the thoughtful songs and explosive jams of Roseburg’s The’Lectrics (Luke Thomas, Steve Amari, Tommy Whiteside).
Jackrat is blurry eyed, hungover sunrise. Hair of the dog, dirty, kicking shanties. Rootsy gnarled riffs for riding the rails, reeling with regret, and doubling down. They are a band based in Bend, Oregon. The 3-piece band combines driving bluegrass, punk and rockabilly rhythm, with soulful vocals and resonant lyrics written by Reid Bower. Kevin Scoggins’ melodic and aggressive bass thunders, while his voice sweetly harmonizes. Thrashing out on the drum kit in the back is Eric Niziol.
Friday, June 19th (Late Night in The Rabbit Hole):

Join us for a nightcap of saxophone and swing with Tommy Whiteside’s Quardless Chortet, featuring Nathaniel Keller, Matthew Krepky, and Milo Brosamer. Live acoustic jazz, high end spirits, local beer and wine, and a 1970’s turntable and sound system make this a unique, immersive, and exclusive after-hours hang.
Saturday, June 20th (Afternoon Karaoke):
All Ages Saturday Afternoon Karaoke with KJ Jenna Gillespie at The Rosebud! // All Ages // Free Entry with One Purchase Minimum // Sign-Up at 11:30am, Karaoke begins at Noon! Afternoon Karaoke will happen every 3rd Saturday of the month.
Afternoon All Ages Karaoke happens this Saturday from 12:00–3:00pm with your favorite KJ Jenna! There is a one purchase minimum to keep the fun going: Drinks, mocktails, and snacks all count. Come sing, hang out, and show us what you’ve got!

Pop, Jazz, Latin, Classical All trombone, all the time. Come dig the eclectic repertoire and soothing sound of the Bone Dawgs Trombone Quartet! Trevor Thompson (trombonist and Joseph Lane Middle School Band Director) is leaving town to pursue his master’s degree… let’s give him a proper Roseburg farewell!
