The Bone Dawgs are a group of Roseburg area trombonists who enjoy performing music ranging from classical to hard rock. They perform frequently at the local Presbyterian Church, schools and Summer festivals. Join them as they bid farewell to Trevor Thompson!

Trevor Thompson was the Director of Bands at Joseph Lane Middle School since 2018, and will be pursuing his doctoral degree at Indiana University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Trombone Performance from California State University, Chico and a master’s in Music Education from the University of Oregon. He is an active member in OMEA in which he serves as vice president. When he is not teaching music or playing trombone he enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Robyn. 

Dave Wolf began his musical career in the state of New York and earned several degrees in music performance. He toured with the Skyline Brass for several years before landing in Roseburg where he has performed with a variety of groups including the Big Horn Band, Blue Skies Big Band and the trombone quartet, "Position Zero." He is currently the bass trombonist in the Rogue Valley Symphony.  He also incredibly knowledgeable about cars, serving as an instructor at Umpqua Community College and an automotive technician at a local shop.

Bob Carwithen has dedicated his life to helping others make beautiful music. With over 30 years in teaching band and orchestra in high school, middle school and even in elementary education, there are few instruments he doesn’t know like the back of his hand. When not teaching, Bob utilizes his time repairing and selling instruments, performing onstage as an actor or a musician. He is remembered for his role as Harold Hill in the community production of the "Music Man."

Jeff Plummer- A native of Roseburg, Oregon, Jeff started playing as an  elementary studnet and soon thereafter, joined the Roseburg German Band with which he has been a member for 50+ years. He is a retired teacher/administrator who has played in a variety of bands including the Rogue Valley Symphony, the Oregon Jazz All Stars, the Storyville Dixieland Band, the Silver Fox Jazz Band, the Big Horn Band and the "Bone Dawgs" trombone quartet.
