LIVE at The Rosebud: December 17, 18, 19, 20, 2025

Birthdays are in season at The Rosebud Theatre: this week we’re celebrating the birthday of The Rosebud’s newest co-owner and stage-time record-holder Michael Mendenhall!

Mike has been a huge part of the Roseburg music scene since long before The Rosebud Theatre. He is actively playing with T.O.B. (That Other Band), The Fabulous Del Montes, James & The Lost Dogs, and Widespread Haze, adding the occasional side-gig with whoever’s in town. He also has one of the finest music studios in Roseburg, and has recorded almost every local project at one point or another (including “Xanadu”… more on that later.)

Over the years Mike has been a member of Frank McCraken & The Firecrackers, Blue Collards, Barbara Healy & Groove Two, Mojo Boogie, Neil Johnson, Eddy Ross, Colleen & Company, Pete Karnes Blues Band, Virgil Robinson, God Knows What, and Fratelli Jazz Trio (and probably more!)

Mike joined The Rosebud team as an investor and project manager just as the seasons were changing from Summer to Fall, and his timing couldn’t have been better. He is a pleasure to work with and an inspiration to us all! Happy birthday to The Ice Man!

Here’s what we have for you this week…

Wednesday, December 17th:

We are proud to present “A John Prine Christmas” – a night of your favorite songs featuring folk troubadour and Prine scholar, Jenner Fox, with his all-star band. The evening will weave together Prine’s classic hits, his holiday themed songs, stories, and lots of singing along. Come prepared to laugh and cry and ho ho ho your way through celebrating a true American original.
