LIVE at The Rosebud: May 15, 16, 17, 2026
We’ve got four shows in four days coming up this weekend, with a triple-bill singer-songwriters Friday, late-night jazz Friday night, original rock ‘n’ roll Saturday, and a Sunday bluegrass bonanza. Come downtown and join the fun!
Here’s what we have for you this week…
Friday, May 15th:
Lane Norberg, The Paper Flares, Leo Moon LIVE at The Rosebud // $12 Presale, $15 at the Door // All Ages // Doors 6pm, Show 7pm // Singer-Songwriter, Folk
A rising force in the Pacific Northwest, Portland singer/songwriter Lane Norberg has captivated audiences everywhere through his honest songwriting and warming vocals, opening for national touring acts like Forest Blakk, Mindy Smith, and Jon McLaughlin. With a “James Taylor meets John Mayer” style and an ever-optimistic inclination, Lane Norberg is an experience sure to leave you smiling.
The Paper Flares is an Americana Duo made up of husband and wife singer-songwriters, Trevor and Christina Hanks. Their songs live somewhere between dusty roads and the living room. Intimate, hopeful and honest. With warm harmonies, acoustic textures and story driven songwriting, they create shows that feel less like performance and more like shared moments that you too are a part of.
Leo Moon is the solo incarnation of actor, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Adrian Koch. California born and Oregon raised, Brian has been active in the Portland theater, film & music scene since arriving in 2000. He is a current and founding member of indie rock band Blitzen Trapper (2000 - present), and formerly of psychedelic folk duo Dead Lee (2017-2023). Appearing now as a solo acoustic performer, his minimal and haunting tunes are stripped down paeans to the glorious absurdities of life; harmonica spattered psalms to the void.
Friday Late Night, May 15th:
Late Night Jazz: Tommy Whiteside Combo LIVE at The Rabbit Hole // $15 // 21+ // Doors 10pm, Music 10:30pm // Instrumental Jazz, Bebop, Modern Jazz
Live acoustic jazz, high end spirits, local beer and wine, and a 1970’s turntable and sound system make this a unique, immersive, and exclusive after-hours hang.
Formed in 2024, drummer / composer Tommy Whiteside’s instrumental jazz combo puts original hand-written music in front of a rotation of some of the best jazz musicians in the region (and beyond!). Featuring Nathaniel Keller (of T.O.B.) on alto, Matthew Krepky (of Funk Shui) on tenor, and Eugene’s Milo Brosamer on bass, the quartet explores the outer reaches of harmony, blending influence from bebop to hip-hop to free-jazz into a dynamic, eclectic, and sometimes abrasive sonic tapestry of improvisation.
Come dig the moment at The Rabbit Hole.
Saturday, May 16th:
Danger Kitty w/ Widespread Haze LIVE at The Rosebud // $15 // 21+ // Doors 7pm, Show 8pm // Rock ‘n’ Roll, Funk, Americana
Danger Kitty Music (DKM) is an indie sensation, weaving a sonic tapestry of rock, funk and Americana that blends raw energy and toe tappin' funk with soulful melodies. Hailing from Northern California, this dynamic quintet delivers a musical journey that captivates audiences with its fearless spirit and authentic expression. With influences ranging from classic rock icons and jazz greats, to funk, blues and modern indie innovators, Danger Kitty crafts a sound that is both timeless and refreshingly original. Prepare to be transported into a world where every riff and lyric tells a story, inviting you to join the adventure that is Danger Kitty.
Fun, fearless, and unmistakably original, Widespread Haze has carved out their own corner of the Pacific Northwest music scene with rollicking rock ‘n’ roll rhythms, rippin’ electric guitar solos, and the kind of authentic songwriting that sticks with you. Based in Roseburg, Oregon, this modular power trio blurs the lines between Americana, folk, and classic rock with a sound that feels both timeless and wildly alive.
Sunday, May 17th:
Caltucky LIVE at The Rosebud // $15 // All Ages // Doors 6pm, Show 7pm // Progressive Bluegrass
Caltucky is a progressive bluegrass band from Northern California blending tradition, improvisation, and grit. With fiery banjo, soulful fiddle, and fearless harmonies, their sound sits somewhere between the mountains and the cosmos — high-energy, heartfelt, and impossible to stand still to.
Equal parts tradition and trailblaze, Caltucky embodies the next generation of jamgrass — rooted in authenticity, raised on improvisation, and always chasing that moment where the pickin’ catches fire and the whole crowd moves as one.
