Roseburg’s modular rock ‘n’ roll trio Widespread Haze backs up Seattle’s Mike Frazier on his original tunes.

Mike Frazier hails from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia but relocated to Seattle, Washington in 2022. Since his move he has continued to tour relentlessly around the West Coast and East Coast and released his 5th album Another Night, Another Sunrise in 2023. Frazier is carrying on the tradition of record craft with a focus on authentic songwriting and high quality production. Frazier draws inspiration from the valley he grew up in, his travels around the world, protest movements, and the classic folk music storytelling he is so deeply inspired by.

In 2024 Frazier suffered a health crisis days before his 6th album, Secrets Of Atlantis, (WarHen Records) was released into the world. He had been privately dealing with a mental and physical health battle for two years that finally came to a head when he went unconscious at lunch with his family doctor’s son in Virginia. The day after Frazier had an MRI and was admitted to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. Less than a week later, Frazier underwent a right temporal craniotomy to remove a lesion that had been causing him to have focal onset seizures. The lesion was sent to pathology and confirmed to be Focal Cortical Dysplasia which is a congenital defect Frazier had been born with.

Fun, fearless, and unmistakably original, Widespread Haze has carved out their own corner of the Pacific Northwest music scene with rollicking rock ‘n’ roll rhythms, rippin’ electric guitar solos, and the kind of authentic songwriting that sticks with you. Based in Roseburg, Oregon, this modular power trio blurs the lines between Americana, folk, and classic rock with a sound that feels both timeless and wildly alive.
